Our hand-painted fiber concrete plant pots are created to bring strength and character to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Resistant to rain, they stand gracefully through the seasons, though they are not frost-proof. In winter, we recommend bringing them indoors or protecting them with a waterproof cover to safeguard their surface from damage.
To care for the finish, dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. When deeper cleaning is needed, use a damp cloth with mild, pH-neutral soap, then dry carefully. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, or acidic cleaners, as well as sharp objects, which may mark or disturb the painted surface.
Each pot is paired with a matching saucer, making them as practical as they are refined. With attentive care and thoughtful protection, your plant pots will hold their depth, warmth, and unique hand-painted presence for years to come.
Fiber Concrete
Inspired by the Brutalism Architecture movement of the mid-20th century, fiber concrete has become the signature material of the 101 Copenhagen furniture collection. Emphasizing sculptural shapes, the texture of concrete creates a fine balance between sharp architectural lines and soft organic curves. Cast in lightweight fiber concrete, each product gets a unique tactile surface with small incorrections and nuances. The surface is afterwards coated, to create a strong and resistance product. Finally, the product is hand painted two times by brush, to create a brushed layered colour.
It is advised to avoid sharp objects as they can harm the surface of the product. The product cannot stand in extreme high temperature and sunlight for several months. High humidity levels can also cause the product to absorb moisture, causing it to become soft and fragile. When exposed to extreme heat or cold, the product may expand or contract excessively, causing it to break or become damaged.
Maintenance:
For daily cleaning, a dry or wet cloth can be used to remove dust or dirt. However, cleaning products containing acid should not be used as they may harm the surface of the product.
