Bakku & Wabi vases in glass

Named after the Japanese word “Bakku,” meaning “bag,” this collection embodies a distinctive, fluid form reminiscent of a softly collapsing bag. Each vase celebrates the allure of imperfection, embracing natural curves and delicate variations that bring artistic elegance to any space.

The Wabi glass vases are inspired by Wabi-Sabi a Japanese aesthetic that embraces the beauty of imperfection and incompleteness. Each glass vase in this collection reflects that philosophy, celebrating organic, uneven shapes that give them a distinct character and charm.

Both available in two thoughtfully designed sizes, the vases brings a sense of nature into your home. Whether displayed as a statement piece or grouped together, the Bakku and Wabi glass vases seamlessly complement a variety of interior styles encouraging us to embrace the beauty of the everyday and the imperfect.

Creating the Glass shape

The glass material is heated to 1500 degrees before being shaped inside a custom mould. Air is then blown into the glass to achieve the desired shape, then taken out of the mould to place inside an oven for tempering. Afterwards the glass is mounted onto a wooden base with internal metal support, enhancing both stability and durability. Shown here are our Trumpet tables in glass in the making.
