Inspired by the characteristic use of animal pictures in Danish Modernism from the 1940s to 1960s, the Bull lamp takes its name after the bull-like lampshades of opal glass, providing a smooth light scattering and a characteristic expression. The body consists of an unpolished grey marble base with a lamp arm in oxidized aluminium covered in spun cognac coloured leather, and an upper part in oxidized aluminium that stands in beautiful contrast to the light, translucent glass. This subtle interaction of materials makes the Bull lamp much more than merely a source of light.
