Orimono Vase, Big - Sand

Available sizes:
€399.00
Inspired by the art of drapery, the Orimono Vase reminices the beauty of textiles falling in lavish curves.

Orimono, the Japanese word for textile, is an ode to the Japanese way of working with textiles in both clothing and interior. Orimono Vases has an uneven surface of curves in different layers, creating a beautiful organic design with a handmade touch.

The Big Orimono Vase makes a sculptural statement and can be placed directly on the floor, whether in a hallway, living room, or beside a console or sofa. Its flowing drapery-inspired form adds elegance and presence to any interior, standing beautifully on its own or styled with branches. For a cohesive look, combine it with other Orimono sizes for a harmonious arrangement.

Hand glazed in order to achieve a unique surface texture, the colours may vary slightly.

Expect delivery within 5–10 days for most orders. Find shipping rates here.

Design by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl

Tommy Hyldahl and Kristian Sofus Hansen intertwine their distinct sensibilities to create designs where storytelling, materiality, and timeless form meet in quiet harmony.

With a background in fashion, Tommy brings an intuitive eye for trends, colors, and textures. His process is one of layering histories, blending details and references from past design periods and reimagining them into something fresh and contemporary. Each collection unfolds as a narrative, evolving from concept to creation, with every element contributing to a greater story.

Kristian, who has lived and studied in Japan, seeks to unite Japanese aesthetics with Danish design, creating a characteristic twist on simplicity itself. His work is defined by the search for subtle, original details that elevate each piece with a unique signature. Drawing inspiration from art and sculpture, his creative process unfolds in new and exciting ways, always striving to craft designs that are both functional and timeless.

Together, they craft design that transcends time, poetic yet practical, expressive yet enduring.

About the Material & Colour

Ceramic

Ceramic is one of the oldest and most enduring materials, celebrated for its strength, versatility, and timeless beauty. Shaped from natural clay and fired at high temperatures, it achieves a density and durability that make it ideal for both functional and decorative use. Its smooth surface provides the perfect canvas for craftsmanship.

Our ceramic is elevated through hand painting, where layers of pigment are carefully applied by skilled artisans. This process creates subtle variations in tone, texture, and detail, ensuring that no two pieces are ever alike. The result is a material that combines resilience with individuality practical enough for everyday use, yet refined enough to stand as an object of art.

Hand-painted ceramic embodies the harmony of nature, craft, and time: a surface that carries both the permanence of fired clay and the soulful presence of the human hand.

Sand

Hand-painted in a soft, golden-beige, this light natural tone carries a sunlit warmth. Reminiscent of coastal dunes and bright shores, it adds an airy calm and effortless neutrality. Brush stroke variations enhance the play of light and shade, giving each piece a one-of-a-kind character.

Maintenance

Our hand-painted ceramic pieces are crafted as decorative objects, designed to age gracefully when cared for with gentleness.

The outer surface of our pieces is hand-painted and should be treated with the same reverence dust lightly with a soft, dry cloth, allowing the painted character to remain untouched. Water, harsh cleaners, or abrasives should never meet this surface, as they can disturb its delicate finish.

Vases are sealed within and may hold water for fresh flowers. Clean their interiors gently with lukewarm water, then dry carefully, taking care that no moisture touches the painted exterior.

To preserve their vibrancy, keep each piece away from prolonged sunlight and sudden shifts in temperature. With such mindful care, every ceramic piece will hold its artistry, warmth, and timeless presence for years to come.
